Some people believe that it is very important to make large amounts of money while others are satisfied to earn a comfortable living. Analyze each viewpoint and take a stand.

Our life is indeed very different from our parents. Modern life is very fast placed. It is very difficult to slow down. Man wants to make rapid progress. Life has become very advanced. Advancement in science and technological progress has made man’s life very comfortable and raised the standard of living. The homes are flooded with all sorts of material comforts.
Man has now become very materialistic and money minded too. Money now has symbolic value. People are running after money nowadays. They think of money all the time. They are always planning different ways of earning money. They are never satisfied with what they have. They have no time to relax and enjoy family life or social life. They are materialistic and competitive. They lead a stressful life. They spoil their health. This often leads to family and material problems.

The world is progressing at a very fast race. Man has to adapt to these rapid changes or he will lose the rat race. There is no place for the slow ones. Life was not at all like this in the days of our parents and grandparents. The pace of life was slow. The people had a sound philosophy of life. They had strong values. They were satisfied with whatever they had as long as they were able to meet their basic requirements. They stressed more on the quality of life. They wanted to enjoy life. They didn’t want to join the rat race. They were well aware that money brings problems.

Man had lots of time for leisure. He had time to enjoy the beauty of nature and spend time with friends and relatives.

The market conditions are not very stable. Due to increasing population there is unemployment and unstable market conditions. As the standard of living and the cost of living has gone up man has started feeling insecure. To make ones future secure there is no harm in making a little extra effort to make more money as long as he doesn’t sacrifice health and mental peace. Without money it is difficult to fulfill ones dreams and ambitions.
